The Foy's Lake was at first dug in 1924 and was named as Pahartali Lake . The Pahartali Lake was renamed as Foy's Lake after the Railway engineer Foy. The initiation of creating a natural environment was taken by the personnel of Assam-Bengal Railway. The Foy's Lake was build across a dam and was planned by English engineer Mr. Foy.
